• A white hog deer is spotted on Kaziranga National park for the First time.

• Spotting of a rare white hog deer in Kaziranga National Park has created widespread interest among wildlife conservationists and nature lovers with many flocking to the world heritage site to catch a glimpse of the animal.

• As per a PTI report, the animal was spotted at grassland on Monday last near the 12 line area of Amguri Tea Estate under the Kaliabor sub-division in Nagaon.

About Kaziranga National park :

• Kaziranga National park is located in the State of Assam and covers 42,996 Hectare (ha). It is the single largest undisturbed and representative area in the Brahmaputra Valley floodplain.

About White-tailed deer :

The white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), also known as the whitetail or Virginia deer, is a medium-sized deer native to North America, Central America, Ecuador, and South America as far south as Peru and Bolivia.
